Community

We believe that everyone is created for and also formed by relationships, and that when our relationships go off the rails, so do many other aspects of our lives. Addiction, violence, exploitation, and all other sorts of problems are rooted in dysfunctional and harmful relationships, and if we are to have a fighting chance of walking away from these self-destructive ways and becoming more healthy and fulfilled in life, it will happen largely through positive, healing relationships.

At Dope Church, we aim to be the kind of community where people from all walks of life can experience relationships that heal and restore — first with our maker, Jesus, and second, with other like-minded folks who also need love and grace.

Displayed front and center at The Living Room is our own version of Matthew 11.28-30. We regularly read these words out loud together: “Come to me, all you who are worn out and weighed down, and I will give you deep rest! Walk with me, work beside me, learn from me – I’m gentle and won’t mistreat you – and you’ll discover true rest for your souls.” - Jesus

Jesus is calling us into life-giving relationships — with him, and with each other. Will you accept the invitation?

Like what you see, and want to get involved in the life of our community?

For our friends on the streets, please show up wherever we pop up in the city, or whenever we are gathered at The Living Room. You are always welcome! Ask about our community schedule here.

If you are a Christian from another church and are interested in who we are/what we are doing, know that we have limited capacity and give first priority to our friends on the streets, so please contact us ahead of time so we can talk through the best way for you to come spend time with us. You can find our contact info here.
